I have a feeling that some people are blinded by their hatred for the SAC to such an extent that they refuse to acknowledge the existence of this new plane the same way some foreign observers reacted to the Chengdu J-20.

wow... I'm surprised the thought that this could simply be an existing aircraft simply flew right past you all...

Pareidolia, you are seeing what you are suggested to see...

Anyways, heres a picture that explains all of the controversy surrounding this without going into conspiracies, etc.

The two look distinctly different. Compare the distance between then back of the cockpit and the back of the plane. Also, length of the nose vs. thenlengthnof the cockpit.

Besides that it turned away nearly all interest from CAC and the J-20 to SAC ... I have to admit I had hoped for that since years ! (Not that I don't like CAC, but following the latest PR-coups from CAC (J-10B, J-20, UAV ...) it nearly seemed as if all other CHinese manufactures have slept over the years), and so wantching this scene is much more interesting. :p

I hope XAC will follow suit and unveil its JH-XX soooooooon. :)

I am actually a bit surprised by the lack of info for official Western media on this new plane. Do they think that this is a trick, just like the stealth JH-7B?

Whatever it is, I don't think it has anything to do with L15. Just look at the part of the fuselage behind the cockpit. L15 has more arch, while the mystery plane is much flatter. The basic geometry is vastly different. The superimpose done in post 79 by sdleio in the PLA photo II thread looks very close to me.

its probably just some sort of mockup for a museum. a legitimate jet is too heavy to be put on its belly without support like shown in the pic.

that is exactly why the wing is placed on top of some kind of support truss, if you look at the very first pic

of perhaps that is what they want us to believe :p

Maybe Super L-15? LOL.

Enlarge the L-15, enlarge the airframe, bigger engine, bigger wings..

Super L-15? that's probably closer to an F-18 with vastly different wings
Occam's razor say it's F-60, until proven otherwise
