Ideally this fighter would be able to carry 2 PL-10s and 4 PL-12s internally but if its weapons bay is the same width as that of the J-20's then it will be more likely 2 + 2, which seems a little short-handed as far as MRAAMs go.
J-20 can probably do 6 PL-12 missiles in its bay. The 2+2 pylons was what we saw with the demonstrator. We haven't seen pylon mounts on the production version yet.

And I really don't get it why again the same completely wrong model of 31001 !??:bad:

If they someday want to be taken seriously and sell this bird, they need to re-do their PR.

It is quite strange that they didn't have a up to date model to showcase, when they had a V2 for Zhuhai, perhaps it was due to size constraint of their exhibit in Paris? The one seen in Zhuhai was quite large.

The Vice President in the video explicitly mentioned "the canopy you see here is two-piece, we have already modified it to a single piece canopy for better pilot visibility" acknowledging the model was out of date.

Yes, it's really strange. Showing old product while they already have new version. If I was a buyer, I wouldn't even care to talk to them because they're showing an outdated product to me.

If space was the problem, they should make a new smaller model to display. I believe participating in such an airshow is no cheap. They should be more serious in business.

I think AVIC also claimed that the FC-31 is capable of supercruise.

LOL, well if they replace the RD-93s that's possible?? early talk was that the WS-13? would power the production version???

I'm guessing they outsource the model making to 3rd party contractors.

Could be that security measures meant they were not allowed to given detailed specs about the plan to outside parties to allow them to make an updated model, especially if this MK2 has PLA funding behind it (as opposed to the MK1 version, which was financed privately by SAC).
