Rumor has it that J-31 2.0 is heading back to Shenyang!
If by black smoke, you mean that demonstration flight in 2014? That was using RD-93 I think.

we don't know when these photos were taken. we also don't know when the highway photos were taken, neither did anyone say on which direction was the lorry going on the highway.
May not be strange at all.
One thing I noticed is that the airframe is turned around in this photo.
It will be even stranger if they drag this thing all the way back to SAC after the static test. I assume the static test is quite destructive. Shouldn't they do analysis in Yanliang instead of taking it back?
