So master delft, Chinese drones are fascinating, but US drones are stinky???
I am not against using drones for gathering intelligence, I AM MORALLY OPPOSED to sending a nameless, faceless, Heartless machine to do your killing. Life is precious, and with the advent and promise of UCAVs??? well you get my drift??? I would say "collateral injuries, deaths, and misidentification are a growing danger, and that people like Barack Hussein Obama use these killing machines to "insulate" themselves from responsibility!
depends on what you mean by drones doing the killing. if the order to fire is still from a human operator going up the chain of command like SOP than it's one thing but if it's AI that determines the launch then yes I too am morally oppose to it.
That day has not come yet (due to tech limitations) but I'm afraid it will in the forseeable future when the launch order is autonomously calculated via an AI through a complex set of algorithms based on coding and variables.
The way our MIC is set up, all it needs is enough lobbyists to pressure congress to approve once some future beancounter/CEO type can showed on Powerpoint how his company's A.I is 'safer/more efficient' than humans in the decision making process.
