If their previous articles on PLA weaponry are fairly accurate (which they are), then yes, my extrapolation is that their bit on the HN-3 might be something we want to look at.

I can't see the picture.

Regarding the accuracy ! Yes, but the problem is that JANE's has IMO not the best reliability in regard to CHinese things and only "if" there were once "fairly accurate", that doesn not man that they are in fact accurate.

Also there's too much "wishfull-think" in it ...

First evidence of the SAC 5th gen fighter?

The article mentioned that the landing gears for China's next generation multirole fighter, which will be used domestically and abroad, had been ready since November 2011.

another fifth generation fighters.we indians should take a note of the speed with which china has developed its aerospace industry. great stuff. if our babus (diplomats) had learnt something from china we would not have been purchasing rafales and t-50 pak-fa.,,we would have finished LCA and AMCA by now. I seriously want that our indian aviation industry follows china and develops these high tech stuff in time instead of putting triple amount of money in foreign projects like PAK-FA and rafale.
dying to see the shenyang j-19/f-60/j-2x. if j-20 surprised the world f-60/j-19 will rock the world. poor f-35,still struggling with issues. now usaf will regret the decision to stop f-22 production. it will be interesting when china's first ucav takes to air, because that will be a marvel.

This might be the first official confirmation that the aircraft still exists. There had been some speculation that the program was discontinued.

If it is true, then question arises, whether the Shenyang Stealth Fighter would be an Air Superiority fighter or would it be something like the J-20?

If the shenyang 5th gen was an air superiority fighter it would be something like the J-20...

Most people are saying it's a striker, but unsure whetehr it's one engine or two engines.

If it is a striker i hope it should be built by XAC not SAC.
they are much more experienced on strike fighter.
