So, is it safe to assume this is the new and improved 051, different paint??? Deino, any thoughts from your source, I believe I read that 051 was being "rebuilt" and returned to flight??
051 has been flying for a very long time, it had a very small problem early in the progam, but it has been flying without any major setback

No, actually 051 has just recently returned, after being grounded for a rather extended period due to structural issues, those have been repaired apparently through a significant "depot level" rebuild. O51 is the aircraft where those structural issues first became apparent, requiring some major re-engineering. LOL

It is wearing a new paint? yes? or no?

your information is wrong, and it is easy to prove the 051 has been flying continually
if you check this, you can find pictures of the bort 051 since 2013 to the present, in fact you can see pictures since 2011, has it been modified? to my knowledge only the radome has been he modified by eliminating the pitot tube and the inclusion of a longer tail sting

comes from the most recent news in Russian:

but they mostly quote Indian press, as in
Sources said the agreement that could be inked at the annual summit will also include a fixed order of 154 jets, work share and a firm commitment to the number of single versus double seat FGFA.

An accident with an advanced Russian T-50 fifth-generation fighter jet, which briefly caught on fire while landing near Moscow, will not affect the schedule of planes’ test runs, Sukhoi company said Tuesday.
MOSCOW, June 10 (RIA Novosti) — An accident with an advanced Russian T-50 fifth-generation fighter jet, which briefly caught on fire while landing near Moscow, will not affect the schedule of planes’ test runs, Sukhoi company said Tuesday.

Sukhoi has played down the impact on its T-50/PAK-FA programme of a fire that damaged one of the five flight test aircraft while on the ground at Zhukovsky air base near Moscow on 10 June.

The company says smoke was observed coming from the fighter’s starboard engine air intake during landing, and a fire broke out shortly afterwards.

However, the blaze was “quickly extinguished”, says Sukhoi, and the aircraft will now be repaired.“This incident will not affect the timing of the T-50 test programme,” it adds.

Now lets be honest, Sukhoi stated the fire would NOT affect the timing of the T-50 test programme, yet even you would have to admit that it most certainly has. Your sources are biased and building the "façade" of a successful and well run flight test programme??? it has been a very difficult, the minimal damage was actually MAJOR damage, and no doubt a class A incident??? NO???

What it has been reported is this, 055 was damaged, it supposedly to be repaired, Sukhoi reported that, there are no pictures of 055 since June 2014.

There have been different reports about PAKFA to be joined by new prototypes in 2014 and 2015, none has been seen except a static prototype.

Now 051 has been flying since 2013 and there are pictures of the aircraft in 2014 and 2015, in November 2014 they changed the Radome, now it has no pitot tube.

There are pictures of all the prototypes except 055 since June, 2014.

You have no evidence 051 was damage because there are pictures of it since 2010,
Now if you want to still believe it was damage, well that it is up to you, so please do not ask me more about it, i can not answer it beyond what i have said.

I was hoping they would have had her finished by MAKs 2015 but rebuilding one from scratch like this is 10 Xs the work, and things invariably take forever to "get right". Good job Sukhoi, I'm glad to see our 055 back in the air, hopefully she will return to being my favorite. I just hated that nasty ole fire, she was so pretty up front, and with a lot of hard work and mid-night oil, she is flying again.
