If this report is to be believed, one Su-57 is supposed to enter service this year and another next year. I thought they were getting an LRIP of 12 aircraft?

Construction is supposed to trickle at first and then speed up in later years. Not that they are in a any particular rush about it. Other spending priorities.

The reports had been they were getting 12 in 2019. Now they are getting...1. or so it appears.

The order was done but it had been announced they were going to be manufactured in these numbers many months ago.
The Russian government and Air Force have said they are not interested in buying it in large numbers until the Izdeliye 30 engines become available.

I have also heard rumors that the Russians are still improving the AESA radar design. The first batch is probably going to be used so the Russians can develop the proper doctrine around using these aircraft in practice.

Please, don't take this as doubting you, but rather its useful to have for discussions elsewhere.

So...do you have a cite on either of those? Or are they just scuttlebutt?
