In 2022, more than 400 units of armored vehicles are planned to enter the formations and military units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
As part of the execution of the state defense order, the enterprises of the military-industrial complex will deliver to the Ministry of Defense of Russia modern and modernized models of armored vehicles that have successfully proven themselves in operation in various climatic zones.
Ground Forces will receive modern T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M tanks, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, modernized BMP-2 with Berezhok fighting compartment, as well as BTR-82A armored vehicles.
At the beginning of 2022, the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District became the first in the country to begin re-equipment with the latest S-350 Vityaz mobile anti-aircraft missile system of short and medium range. The novelty developed by the Almaz-Antey Concern VKO carries 12 anti-aircraft missiles on one launcher, surpassing similar systems in this parameter, and is distinguished by increased noise immunity of the radar complex. The S-350 interfaces with all air defense systems, can receive information from other complexes and systems, working as a second echelon in conjunction with the S-400 air defense system, increasing the density of anti-aircraft fire. Depending on the type of missiles used, the S-350 is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 120 km and an altitude of up to 25 km.
The system turned out to be good, compact, it performs all functions with a serious overlap of the combat capabilities of its predecessors. The fundamental difference between the Vityaz and all other complexes of this class is the ability to quickly target missiles and view space. This system is capable of effectively hitting not only existing air attack weapons , but also promising," said Yan Novikov, CEO of the concern, in an interview with National Defense magazine
"The Americans also understand that Russia is not yet using its full range of offensive weapons, which it could use if it were not about Ukraine, but a state far from us politically and socially. Therefore, realizing this, they are encouraging the Ukrainians, but they themselves At the internal level, they understand that Ukraine will not win this war," Mikhailov concluded. Viktor Bodrov
That is Kurganmashzavod. They make the BMP-3 and BMD-4M.A factory that makes BMPs and things like that.
The 12 missile per launcher was shown very recently like in past 10 years or so. i think the internal electronics are upgraded to deal with low altitude target at .01km height.Vityaz was a very long story to say the least... The components had been in development since 1990's. The early warning asset, 96L6VP and passive station 96L6TsP existed as early as 1998. The 9m96 missiles were even longer maybe dated in late 80's. I feel it's actually much closer to European Aster and American ERINT missile in terms of comparison.
Comparison between NASAMS and Buk kinda interesting as it's historically a repeat of comparison between Hawk and 2K12 Kub. The NASAMS may not be as "mobile" but well the system components can be moved by any chassis, even airlifted with Chinooks similar as Hawk. In the other hand NASAMS does not really have anti-missile capability unlike Buk which have one. Each launcher of Buk is self contained fire-unit that can operate independently in terms of producing firing solution and guide the missile. NASAMS entirely reliant on external designation for engagement.
Is that DJI drones with Lenovo laptops ?
