Russia signed a deal with China to merge GLONASS and Beidou satnav into one network.
This will reduce the need to make those satellites in the future.
What does this mean? Will they both now transmit on the same codes and frequencies? Or will China and Russia share codes?

If one is blocked, will both be?

I know this is a loaded question, but has the Ukrainian war shown Russia to be somewhat of a paper tiger? They obviously have a massive nuclear arsenal which will always make any sort of invasion of the Russian mainland impossible Inspire of that, I cannot help but feel that based on what we are seeing in Ukraine, the conventional forces of Russia would fail miserably against NATO.

I just don't see how they can be portrayed as a serious threat going forward? Certainly the idea of them invading deep into Europe has shown to be complete fantasy. Outside of maybe some sort of surprise attack, Russia attempting to square off against a fully deployed NATO force seems like suicide.

What are some of your opinions on this subject? I feel like many people must be shocked by the poor performance of the Russian Armed Forces thus far.

All i can observe high quality engineering and operational maintenance tempo considering after COVID operating this scale of Aircraft and helicopter sorties practically are record. which non one will be able to match. than there is pilot skills to operate them at low altitude.
there is also alot missile launches without any misfires on launch platforms or missile falling faraway form its intended target.

Well most NATO force Manpads, ATGM are now in Ukraine and the Russian are still there and started the conflict with half the troops than Ukraine had against them... It's near equal quality involved in Ukraine before the surge of weapons poured in from NATO. It's not just Ukraine against some Russian troops right now, NATO have awacs and satellites supporting Ukraine big time.

Russia is not a paper tiger but were quite optimistic about the troop needed in Ukrainian war.

Sure that Invading all Europe cannot be done without twenty times what they had massed for Ukraine. But right now NATO stockpiles of ground ammunitions are more or less empty to support Ukraine.

In any case, NATO VS Russia would means nuclear showdown...we cannot compare the conflicts.
