Only Lada‘s low budget Granta and Vesta are selling well in Russia because they are simple and cheap to maintain. Not sure what kind of strong manufacturing qualities you are reading into it.

I am not sure what is your context.
I am referring to integration of Aviation and Auto industries.
Aurus plant is located in Kazan the same place Tupolev and Kazan Mil plants. Aurus engine is now used to develop light airplane and UAV engines. Aurus ultra luxury auto are booked for next couple of years. it is very rare occasion that both Abh dhabi and dubai rulers inspect same car at same time.

the rest was Japanese trying to compete in Russian auto market by offering 7 year warranties and prices that are relatively cheaper due to strong manufacturing quality and competitive prices of Russian domestic Korean and German autos.
Japanese domestic built vehicles that are on left hand side steering wheel are really expensive for the features offered. now days there is global price gouging for fine automobiles.

Sorry old Lada story from 2016.
Aurus is is Russia trying to target the super premium brands like Mercedes and Rolls as such it’s no surprise they are being inspected by the Saudis. The question is if they buy it. Aurus is also being used to brand and develop SJ100 buisness jets and Kazan helicopters for executives and Oligarchs

Lada is no better or worse for that price range. and it can operate in -45 degree celsius.
Aurus represents technological complexity and opulence. VR10 level of protection.
it is getting exported with higher level of options.
RR and Mercedes Maybach has advantage of global supply chain. but if Germanic supply chains are reversed it wont be able to survive.

Lada is a brand but even the Russian military isn’t buying them to the degree they used to. Back on February the Russian army was Buying Haval H9 along side Toyota Land Cruiser and G wagons. Lots of cars can operate in extreme cold if properly prepared.

That’s for the Armored limousine model which is not the base model and is very specialized. The question is can the Russians pay off rhe Kartash program by selling knock down luxury sedans, Vans and SUVs. Next reversal of the Mercedes chain is about as likely as Putin sprouting wings and flying. It reminds me of the Kitchen Debate between Kruschev and Nixon where Kruschov claimed Nixon’s Grandchildren would live under Communism and Nixon that Kruschov’s would live under Freedom. Well we know how that went.

The S600 Pullman Guard is the most common armored limousine State car. Used to chauffeur Democratic leaders, Mega rich celebrities, Arab Princes, Communist Despots, and Kim Jong Un alike.
The Crown Prince may buy a few Aurus but he and his family are well known car collectors. Just as most of the Middle Eastern states are well known for collecting systems from both East and west.
Don’t get me wrong I like the Aurus it looks like one of my favorite concept cars from Chrysler.

But Both Russia as the USSR and China have had Bespoke Limousines before it’s the question of can the State owned maker transition from the car of the Czars and into a car of the Business person? If it can make that transition it will last. If not, then it will follow Zil into the junkyard. Remember plenty of Mega rich, World leaders get chauffeured in modified SUVs like the Chevy Suburban and Toyota Land Cruiser too. .

Lada does not compete in that price range of Haval H9/Land Cruiser or G wagons. The next level beyond them is Tigr SUVs. Russia lacks that intermediate brand. Lada Maximum price is $15K. with avg price at $10K.
Try make vehicles at those price ranges that has all functionality of Lada?.

Aurus brand will stand on its feet. it has modern final assembly line with robust supply chain.

Is S600 Pullman VR10 level protection?. Russia has its own communication/navigation systems and customers may prefer that.

Crown prince is investor in the brand. There is separate Helicopter brand that they are investors.
It is the same way Telegram is based from UAE. it is to make it acceptable globally.

First Haval is hardly a luxury brand. It’s owner GWM has established marquee higher and higher than it. The Wey and Tank brands.
Next Pullman guard was the first production car to offer VR10. The Russian communications and Navigation system ties you directly to Russian MOD so that’s not exactly a great selling point as just about all the big players can say the same.
I am sure he is but then I bet he invests in a lot of things.

Based in Russia, the Advanced Research Foundation founded in 2012, is a research and development organization for Russia to modernize the military and state security organizations with innovative high-tech technologies and products and to also bring innovative products for civilian use. The Cyclocar Project Team Leader is Yan Chibisov.

In 2017, the Foundation for Advanced Study organized an open competition "Free Takeoff", to develop the best vertical takeoff or ultra-short takeoff and landing aircraft for Urban Air Mobility (UAM). In May 2017, Flash-M LLC was announced as the winner. The winning team proposed using cyclical propellers for their vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft and this was the design base which Advanced Research Foundation's used for the Cyclocar.

The Cyclocar is an autonomous six passenger hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft using cyclical propellers for VTOL and forward flight. Passengers can enter and exit on either side of the aircraft and from the rear of the aircraft. The maximum speed of the Cyclocar is estimated at 250 km/h (155 mph), with a range of 500 km (311 miles), has no wings and has a four fixed-wheeled landing gear arrangement.

Some of the main advantages for this design is very fast control of thrust vectors through 360 degrees for excellent maneuverability in the air, has a low noise level and is a very compact vehicle. The aircraft will have a hybrid-electric power plant to create the electricity for the electric motors turning the cyclical propellers providing the power for VTOL flight, high speed flight and endurance for the aircraft. There is also safety shielding so passengers and ground crew are protected from the turning propellers.

The Advanced Research Foundation says the vehicle can be equipped with a gasoline piston engine or a more powerful turbine engine its power source. A unique feature of the aircraft is its ability to land on an inclined surface of up to 30 degrees and to dock to vertical surfaces. The aircraft can also be used for air cargo service.

The Cyclocar is expected to be used for both military and civilian use, including Urban Air Mobility, Search & Rescue, police work, fire fighting, tourism, surveying, transportation to the battle field and more. Its sister air cargo drone, the Cyclodron, is planned to be used in agriculture, monitoring the air, medicine and organ transportation, commercial cargo services and more.

The aircraft has a safe feature of being able to continue to fly if two of the four rotors stop working and the aircraft will also be equipped with a whole aircraft parachute.

In 2020, a 60 kg (132 lb) subscale prototype made its first flight validating its flight control systems, including the ability to fly the aircraft in VTOL flight and forward flight modes. The first full-size Cyclocar prototype is scheduled to fly in 2022 and production aircraft are expected to be manufactured by 2024.

Specifications:

  • Aircraft type: Hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft
  • Piloting: Autonomous
  • Capacity: 6 passengers
  • Maximum speed: 250 km/h (155 mph)
  • Range: 500 km (311 miles)
  • Maximum payload: 600 kg (1,323 lb)
  • Cyclical propellers: 4 cyclical propellers
  • Electric Motors: Possibly 4 electric motors or more
  • Power source: Hybrid-electric
  • Fuselage: Carbon fiber composite
  • Windows: Canopy over passenger seating
  • Landing gear: Fixed quad-wheeled landing gear
  • Safety Features: Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP), provides safety through redundancy for its passengers and/or cargo. DEP means having multiple propellers and motors on the aircraft so if one or more motors or propellers fail, the other working motors and propellers can safely land the aircraft. Two of the cyclical propellers can stop working the aircraft can continue to fly and land safely. The aircraft will also have a whole aircraft parachute system.
