Many refit planned for Sierra, Akula, Oscar because soon 4 Victor III and some Oscars will be removed and 8 new Yasen/Severodvinsk planned but definitely max 4/5 in service in 2020, this program have difficulties, Severodvinsk is still not operational, in trial as Lada...

yes good point. if the US is so concerned about it why don't they just buy these 2 ships? $1.2billion plus the penalty to compensate Russia for shredding the contract is mere pocket change compared to the US military budget. just buy these ships and give it to the marine corp or better give it to the pinoys! Obama can score a victory against putin and take a good shot at china as well. what a great way to support the Philippines after Obama's 4 nation visit, giving them 2 top of the line LHD's that even china doesn't currently have. this is killing 3 birds with one stone.
Most of the relevant technology has already been transferred. With the compensation the Russians will be able to modernize their shipyards and build their Mistrals without further assistance except perhaps from China. Then everyone will be happy, except the pinoys who will be saddled with ships they can't man or maintain.

Black sea fleet

The major combatant there is a Udaloy class DDG. And then there are a couple of corvettes you show.

The entire Black Sea Fleet has quite a few more vessels. In addition to the Udaloy, they have a Slave CG, a Kara CG, a Kashin DDG, and a couple of Kirvak FFGs. These are the major surface combatants.

They also have a large amphibious group consisting of 3 Alligator LSTs and 4 larger, newer Ropucha II LSTs.

They have a sizeable group of missile corvettes including 3 Nanchukas, 5 Trantula IIIs and 2 Dergach.

A large ASW corvette group consisting of 6 Grisha III corvettes.

Aslo quite a few mine sweepers, including 5 Natyas and 2 Sonya class.

Seeing all of those together would be quite a site,.. That's like 36 combatants.

I think someone had posted a video of the May Day Russian naval review and fly-by in Sevastopol somewhere in the forum. It wasn't the entire Black Sea fleet but it was impressive nonetheless.
