has anyone else noticed, or has it already been commented on, that a close examination of the t-14 pictures reveals that the very futuristic looking turret appears to be nothing more than an overlay of a set of very thin facets that are riveted together? i'm wondering just whats under that overlay!

...it was already explained very well.

just unwise decision to use tank drivers who have not been trained on such vehicles instead of what UVZ has proposed to use their drivers which know what they are doing.
Black Shark, control yourself and do not use the name of deity like this (it is offensive to some)...or you will receive warnings.

Regarding the tank...it is simply clear that there was a screw up. Then there was an effort to make it not look like a screw up.

The effort was not credible.

The problem was simple...they tried to show off a new tank too soon. It stopped (for whatever reason) in the middle of the road...in the flattest, most simple terrain imaginable. They then had a really tough time towing it off.

My point is that I was badly embarrassed for the Russians...and then even more so by the lame attempt to call it something other than what it was.

No need for any more arguments or any more attempts to make it look like something other than the mistake it was with equipment that was not ready for the show (inviting this type of problem...for whatever reason)...not enough training...and then a lame excuse for it.

I said it before just as me. Now I will make it official so we stop this meaningless back and forth.

'Nuff said.

I watched it live! ;)

before I went for a lunch :) for about two minutes I had been watching some Live, which was switching between places in Russia -- I just saw Pyotr Velikiy in Severodvinsk and perhaps I'll start calling that ship Battlecruiser after all :) the area at stern looked so big ...

heck now I realized the dimensions (numbers from wiki)
Length: 252 m
Beam: 28.5 m
Draft: 9.1 m
are bigger than those of the 1916 HMS Repulse:
Length: 228.7 m
Beam: 27.5 m
Draught: 8.2 m

now I looked at the discussion of the price of the Armata Tank :)
