UMPO makes the AL-41. The Su-34 engines were made by Salyut, the AL-31FM1, don't think they switched to AL-41 yet.

Considering that Russia has the most experience to operate airforce and drones, in unseen before swarms, and developed large spectrum of data collection/fusion systems, if the see that the Kuznetsov doesn't worth the operation cost (condisering most likelly the refurbishment cost already spent ) then the twilight of carriers is here .

Russia can makes 1000/day 1000 km+ range drones, how long should a carrier survive in this enviroment against a peer ?

Not even sure that the carrier was still structuraly healthy... would have been better to buy a new hull from China at his point is they wanted a refreshed similar design. They were more stuck on pride than on the need of his capabilities

Could be.

However considering that the fitting is getting close to finish, this decicion more likelly cutting the operating cost, not the refurbishment cost.

there is a cost benefit caclulation.

The ship is beyond the boiler replacement, so the most expensive part of refurbishment behind.
Abandoning it now most likely means the ship class as a whole not considered worthy for running cost.

At the end of the day, the carriers are the most expensive to operate from all ship class.

What about the radars and electronics? Have they been replaced by modern versions?

No sure if that is a deciding factor.

Definitivly, the Kuz been before the installation of radars and so on, but at the end of the day those systems are similar to the normal frigatte/destroyer el3ectronic suit.

Means it represent smaller percentage of the carrier cost, if I have to bet possibly 10% megnitude.

But, other side, a Nimitz class carrier three year running cost is in the magnitude of a destroyers price.

Means if Kuz operated for 20 more years then it should cost 6-7 proj. 22350 frigatte.

So, by Russian calculations 6 frigatte worth more than 1 carrier.
