Footage of the Russian BTR-60PB with a homemade "Tsar-Barbecue" type protection. This body kit looks ridiculous, but effectively protects the combat vehicle from FPV drones, it is worth noting that the creation of such a protection option is quite labor-intensive. The BTR-60 was developed in the USSR in 1960, it is used occasionally by the Russian and Ukrainian armies, all BTRs are removed from storage. They are also in storage in many other countries.

The first contracts for the export of the Russian Su-57 fighter jet were signed at the Airshow China 2024 exhibition in China. The General Director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev announced the deliveries of Su-57E aircraft abroad. However, he did not specify which countries or companies the contracts were signed with. Presumably, the Su-57 may be purchased by Iran, North Korea, Algeria or Venezuela. According to unofficial data, Russia currently has 22 Su-57 fighter jets, and by 2027 it is planned to increase their number to 76 units. The expected production volumes of the Su-57 from 2025 to 30 units per year, this has not been officially confirmed.

Rosoboronexport to Organize Demonstration of Russia's Military Aviation and Air Defense Achievements at Airshow China 2024
Rosoboronexport's stand will feature the Ka-52E combat reconnaissance and attack helicopter. The company will demonstrate the possibility of integrating the Kh-35UE tactical anti-ship missile, designed to destroy warships and transport vessels, into its armament system, as well as the Kh-38MLE air-based modular guided missile, which is being exhibited outside of Russia for the first time and which destroys infrastructure facilities, high-strength ground objects and surface targets in the coastal zone

The 2024 upgrade of Ka-52M will give high detail pics. (Super SAR mode) and low radar contrast (composite flying wing UAVs, new generation cruise missiles). I doubt even AWACS can find these UAVs at low altitude at sufficient distance from battlefield. this make AWACS less effective in high end battle. In 2022 they put into production one of GaN line. and Shoigu mentioned Russia now developing new weopons ten times faster than normal time.
previously it was mentioned that production of Ka-52M/Mi-28NM approaching 100 per year. so scale of AESA radar sets are approaching near other large manufacturing countries. infact only US/China will be able to integrate small radar sets into various platforms. i cannot count radar UAVs.

The Ka-52M helicopter will be equipped with a circular-view radar for all-weather and round-the-clock reconnaissance

"The Ka-52M attack helicopters will receive a new all-round radar station operating in the centimeter range. These stations will allow the helicopters to detect a wide range of air and ground targets, such as enemy aircraft, helicopters and UAVs, armored vehicles, artillery positions, concentrations of manpower and other military facilities, including in high-detail radio vision mode," the agency's source said.

He added that with the new radar, the Ka-52M will be able to conduct all-weather and round-the-clock reconnaissance and target designation in conditions of strong natural and artificial radio interference. In particular, the helicopters will be able to detect targets with low radar contrast.

JSC ZNTC, together with a scientific and technological partner, is developing technology and preparing infrastructure for the production of transistor crystals based on gallium nitride heterostructures for the manufacture of power and microwave electronics. One of the project stages has been completed: the construction of the site and installation of the necessary equipment have been completed, the site has been put into operation.
Commissioning of a separate production site, fully autonomous and independent from the main production line, will allow the transition to manufacturing products on gallium nitride substrates from single-unit production to small-scale production.

Russia develops new weapons in four to seven months, Shoigu said

MOSCOW, December 19 - RIA Novosti. Russian designers are creating new weapons for the Russian Armed Forces in 4-7 months instead of 5-8 years under normal conditions, this has not happened since the Great Patriotic War, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, said at an extended meeting of the board of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Our leading designers have been creating the latest systems and weapons for several months to meet the needs of the troops. Weapons that were developed and tested under normal conditions for 5-8 years are now being put into serial production within 4-7 months. This has not happened since the Great Patriotic War," he said.

In 5G engine they put more emphasis on reliability, life span and fuel consumption and not on thrust alone. why the other factors so important because 5G fighters are heavy and 24/7 battlefield under surveillance better to have more up time and increase life span needed if fighters are used from further bases. That short range fighters no longer relevant. i think lessons of Ukraine are in it

They added both Kinzhal and Kh-101/102 to the Su-34M with uprated engines. when you add this heavy missiles. its highly like MTOW is closer to 50 tons. this huge difference in weight between original Su-27SK and Su-34M so engines will need to perform accordingly. another way of looking at advancements is this MIG-35. The fighter that not in serial VKS but the engine updates are obvious from this display. this show that extra engineering talent.

UEC presented the latest fifth-generation aircraft engine for the first time

Serial engines of the AL-31F/FN/FP family for multi-role fighters have received a modernized appearance — series 5. The new modification of the AL-31FN engine, which was first presented by UEC, was developed specifically for single-engine aircraft and has increased reliability. The use of the engine will expand the potential of aircraft in terms of flight range and altitude. This is ensured by increased thrust of up to 14 thousand kgf in takeoff mode and fuel consumption reduced by 6%.
At the exhibition, UEC is showing a full-size model of the new VK-1600V engine for medium helicopters and the TV7-117ST-01 turboprop for regional aircraft. A hybrid-electric power plant based on the new VK-650V aircraft engine is also on display. Also on display at the Russian engine-building corporation is the upgraded RD-93MA turbojet with improved performance characteristics: thrust has been increased by 400 kgf, and the designated service life has been increased by a third.

In addition, a full-size PD-35 fan blade made of polymer composite materials is presented abroad for the first time. It weighs 30% less than one made of titanium. UEC designers developed the first PD-35 technology demonstrator engine in Russia and used the latest technologies and materials in its creation. During testing, it confirmed stable operation when reaching the design thrust of 35 tons.

NAZ reported that the Su-34 received new functions of a reconnaissance aircraft

As the NAZ shared, the modernized Su-34M frontline bomber now also has the ability to use the Kinzhal hypersonic complex and deep-cover cruise missiles, and can also counter any serial fighter in the world in close maneuverable air combat.

Russian military personnel tested a homemade FPV drone equipped with a flamethrower. Presumably, the drone is designed to intercept enemy drones, the drone will attack from above, hovering over the enemy drone. There is no technical information on the drone.

Spectacular footage of a low-altitude turn by a Russian Su-57 fighter jet in China. The turn is performed with a radius of about 250 meters and is carried out at an altitude of 60 meters, at a speed of 240 - 270 km / h. From 2025, the Russian Air Force should begin to receive an improved version of the Su-57M, which has been undergoing flight tests since October 2022 and will be equipped with a new engine - AL-51F. The maximum speed of the Su-57M may increase from 2550 to 2950 km / h, which will put the Su-57M on par with the MiG-31BM interceptor. The Su-57 will also have an almost 10% increase in range and rate of climb. This will allow the aircraft to quickly reach an altitude of 13,000-18,000 meters to destroy air targets at maximum distances.
