not sure the obssession with humanoid robots, it has very little practical application except for a very small niche. the advantage of robotics is that you can build it to the task, building it like a human defeats the purpose.
I guess humanoid robots can be multi-purpose in a world designed for the human body. So they have the potential of doing the work that normal humans can do without special adaptation of equipment, like driving a standard car for example.

there is so little use in that, with that technology we can have driverless cars.

The end goal is service sector and logic in factory is that a lot of the floor (that's not automated) are not set up for wheeled robots.

Crazy how Unitree as a company started only 6 years ago. The Unitree Go1 was released in 2021. Within 3 years they have had such a mastery of Quadrupedal robotics they can produce robots possessing capabilities eclipsing that of any Western counterparts. Show how aggressively commercializing a dumbed down version which is basically a toy(Go1 at $1600 a pop), actually funds the development of industry leading products, at 150K USD each it's probably only reserved for industrial/military usage.

Based on the Unitree website, the B2-W has the following specs:
Weight: 75 Kg
Endurance: 50km with 40kg load, maximum static load is 120 Kg
Maximum speed: 20 km/h
Maximum trench jump: 2m

The video of the bot looks so good it almost looks CG from how agile it is.

Brushless motors are scalable, I really don't see any obstacle to building a full sized mech now and I can see some rich guy funding a project just for fun.
