I'm leaning towards the conspiracy theory that there is a second gunner. Why? Because before JFK left for Dallas from Ft. Worth it was raining outside (same day), but it stopped raining in Dallas. As a result Kennedy wanted to have the limo without the roof top on. That decision was made rather quickly. So how did Lee Harvey Oswald (suppose lone gunman) knew before hand about this information or was he going to just at his target regardless if the limo roof top was on? Someone from inside the president security has to tip them off about that information. Otherwise we can assume Oswald has been practicing where and how to spot the president (not knowing where he sit in the limo with the roof top on) and fire at a moving target and at which vehicle and at what speed. Even an expert sniper needs someone to be his spotter with binoculars to first ID the target. Now think about it? Could Lee Harvey Oswald did all of that by himself? To me that's impossible.

the route the Kennedy motorcade was taking was announced over the radio, along with the fact that Kennedy wanted the open top this was announced once Kennedy was in Dallas.
Because of the announcement and the lack of the specialized security deployed today Lee Harvey Oswald only had to watch the crowd and listen to the radio. The radio was giving play by play well the crowd would basically point out the president via cheering. As for where the president would be sitting, Jackie was a woman and was wearing a very bold fashion pick in pink. Governor Connolly was a proud Texan. Jackie would not be far from her husband, Connelly had a Stetson. Kennedy would have been framed in by these two fashion choices. Any they would have been visible from some distance.
three the motorcade was a slow moving target. They were crawling along so the president could be seen waved to cheered for kissed at all lee had to do was take that into count.
then he had to line up his shots.
the presidents motorcade was in fairly close range to the book repository. Lee Harvey Oswald was a devout Communist but also a USMC rifleman. His fellow Marines have been accused over the years of claiming him someone they could not rely upon. This has been misinterpreted to mean a bad shot, rather I suspect it had to do more with his political views and fear he would have turned on his comrades in the Marines for his comrades in the Proletariat. The rifle the Carcano was a bolt action scoped world war two surplus rifle highly accurate with a long history in the Italian army, they had served with distinction in both world wars and before that too.
Oswald lined up and fired. The magic bullet happens because first the round of the carcano is a full power rifle round designed to kill past a thousand meters Kennedy and Connelly are well closer to there shooter, the magic is because of the weird shot placement between the two but that's because they are not precisely lined up. Kennedy is in the back seat of the car unlike todays cars that's a long large leather sofa without seat belts. Basically the president sits where he liked Connelly is sitting six inches inboard from the door and an additional three inches lower as he is in a captains chair style jump seat. Both are pointed in different directions playing to the crowds. The magic bullet happens because the bullet is actually passing though these two bodies in there unique positions and theorists have misinterpreted the positions of the two bodies.

Trust me, 16 degree C is freezing for us as we have 30+ degree all year long. The hottest between Mar and May is 40+. It's burning. I remember back to early 2000s, we once had a small winter which the temperature was wondering between 15 to 20 degree C. It lasted for about one month. Outstanding post Terran, there was no conspiracy, there was no second shooter, that has been beat to death, sometimes the simple truth is too profound for the active mind to grasp, and like every fish story, real life is kind of boring! This sad tale is sad enough, it is quite disrespectful to tarnish this tragedy with speculation and half truths, let the truth stand on its own merits. I myself was in Mrs. Percy's second grade class, the TVs were in the large yellow lockable boxes on a rolling stand, my Dad respected the president and his office, he was after all the commander in chief, as an Air Force family, we were always on standby for what-ever, during the Cuban Missle crisis, my Dad was on alert. President Kennedy's death also resulted in a heightened alert status, that afternoon at school, all the classrooms where watching the TVs, which was very unusual. brat

Now I think about it, I have lived in extreme weathers. When I was little, I lived in Shenyang for 6 years. We are talking about -20 to -30 oC for 9 months of the year. I mean you will get a taste of Siberia when you get to Northeast China, the Manchuria. Then Beijing. Not much warmer and with sand storms and all. Then Texas. Hoooooooot and huuuuuuumid! Exactly! I think people just cannot accept that a single lone gun man was able to get to the most powerful man in the world. And something else must be involved. Then the only explanation is a conspiracy. However, history tells us that a single person can do a lot if he/she is determined to try. If it so happens that his/her target happens to make a mistake, then he/she might make it happen...

My experience is that most times, the simplest and the most straightforward answer is usually the right one. Those exotic possibilities might sound cool and all, but only hypothesis and wishful thinking. Like those alien visitation stories. I mean I believe that aliens exists, but them visiting Earth? Even more crazy. People think aliens visited us in ancient times and even we were genetically engineered by the aliens. What a bunch of BS! It sounds cool, but all BS.

I took the opportunity yesterday to rewatch Oliver Stone's JFK (1991) that movie has more bulls running in it than Pamplona during the San Fermin festival. But its a good movie and i love conspiracy theories, just don't treat the movie as history.

Oliver Stone is a real jerk in my opinion. I mean with a title like JFK, the movie should have been a autobiography, and it could ha e should have been. Instead he made a movie based on a event that frankly was a insult to the American Justice system. Stone goes out of his way to portray conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory, and then bringing up pet theory of the New Orleans prosecution. Which was really just a attempt to get his political name made at the expense of a local man who's only real crime, was reputedly being gay.

it was a sick misuse of power aimed for publicity.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was, in my opinion, the most genuine and the best President of United States of America, ever. There was something about this person, which resonated what America was back in the 1960s. To me, 1960s (JFK days) is when America was the closest to becoming a truly great nation.

The loss of John F Kennedy, would have been equal to, had America lost the civil war and there were two nations instead of the United States of America. I always wonder, what could have been, had JFK lived to complete 2 full terms in office. The Federal Reserve would have been abolished out of existence and JFK would've handled the Vietnam issue a heck of a lot better than Nixon.

May God have mercy on your soul, JFK and may you rest in peace!
