It's much nicer than the club bow I was shooting before. I usually shoot for 2 hours each session (including chilling time with other club members of course), even if my grouping gets bad I just do it for muscle training. I'll be getting an Ontario archery membership next year and hopefully join some official indoor tournaments.
Right, at 30+ pounds, it is much easier to have an extended session, and 90% of accuracy is just having a good repeatable form and a nice clean release, and it certainly helps to have a bow that is tuned to the shaft, then the feathers aren't trying to correct gross errors, but simply maintaining good arrow flight. Now throw in a heavy hunting bow, which may cause injury or pain, and muscles that begin to break down your form as they fatique from drawing your heavy bow, and then it is impossible to maintain that accuracy, one of the reasons that you quit when you experience PAIN, or Form deterioration, then you are only reinforcing bad muscle memory, throw in broadheads which also exascerbate any breakdown in form. I am so happy to see you have your own bow, and it is beautiful, and you fletch your own arrows, these things give you a mental edge. I used to like to pick up someone elses bow and shoot a little better group, as I had an understanding of bow dynamics, I attempted to shoot a friends home made "self-bow", nastiest thing I ever shot, I couldn't shoot it worth a flip.
I'm sure you will see your groups "tighten up", feel free to post some pics of your groups as they do. bax
