but three thoughts one, given the size and power of GPS devices available commercially with smaller antenna

also given the size of commercial GPS receivers that thick a antenna would not be needed. and that would still not explain the second wire out of the mike. I am thinking more and more that this guy is a the radiomen. that the small radio on his vest is intersquad and the large antenna is long range. this would explain the second mic connection.

a antenna for video is possible but that eats up a lot of bandwidth, and would add a third radio. as streaming tactical video operates differently than voice.
radiomen seems the best option.
If there was a connection between weapon and soldier system it would likely be between the helmet and weapon allowing the soldier to see through the sight like a camera enabling shooting around corners. but that does not need a physical connection a encrypted wifi connection could do it. Tracking point has demonstrated that. and as to lazing for a LGB that makes sense.

How in the heck is his sling sitting like that? it defies physics.

The adjustable 'slider' on that sling (located right at the middle of the sling) probably added stiffness to the sling, plus the way the strap is looped (the side facing up becomes the side facing down right around the 'slider', like the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness) must have also made the sling stiffer. Lastly, a portion of the strap is resting on the soldier's neck and possibly the chest area, making it less likely to bend naturally.

Another version of the latest photo, without the watermarks and excessive cropping. Now you can see the muzzle of the grenade launcher.

Seems like they have opted for the angled-grip variant as being their definite production type.

yes, and it looks much more ergonomic and the extra weight would be very minimal anyway

btw, the quality and workmanship of this baby look very very high, Chinese product quality has come a long long long way. If you look the workmanship of Chinese product in 1990s and now ... just like Earth and Sky

Just a question ... would this baby rugged enough in very rough environment (e.g desert, water, dust, heat, cold, rain forest, etc) ... or is it designed for urban warfare only ?

Couldn't tell how good it really until get a chance to hold it up first-hand to actually feel its heft. The angled foregrip reminds me of Magpul AFG design, wonder if that's a vindication of such design?
