Another year another new service rifle, does anyone has any idea how far this particular one will go ?
What are the rifles for, say, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively?

It was a figure of speech, seeing that China has made at least 3 service rifles after the QBZ-95 including this one, none of which seems to satisfy the PLA enough to fully replace the former. The PLA hasn't introduced a new service rifle in ages? The last new service rifle they introduced could be argued to be the QBZ-03 and even it was a complement to QBZ-95 at most.
This new service rifle has been spoken of as a military wide new service rifle.
Ever heard of figure of speech ?What are the rifles for, say, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, respectively?

That the PLA has introduced a number of service rifles uptill this date and so far none has seemed to latch on. So that raises the issue of how far will this new rifle go in the PLA.And what was this figure of speech of yours trying to express?

Every now and then a new rifle pop its head only to fade away into relative obscurity even when it does showed up in a major parade like this.

Are there any definitive answer to if the buttstock is foldable or if it contains recoil buffer like m16?
1)The QBZ-03 which is only found in the PAP, selected units of the Militia, and the Airborne Corps. Even thought it was shown in full parade back then. Which is a tad shame.Do you mind listing these "service rifles"?
