This new handguard still not free floating but doesn't require the original front sight post which mean handguard is lighter and have more freedom to chose aftermarket front sights and sling attachments. It also have room to fit the bayonet, now if they also have the hole to fit the grenade launcher attachment it will be perfect for basic upgrade kit.

What's more interesting is how they will deal with the gas block at the location where the front sight post is, given that the top of the handguard looks like it is continuous and would enclose the gas block.

The adjustable gas block on QBZ-191 protrudes slightly upwards, which is why some of the other handguard designs that we've seen have had cutouts for the gas block.

If they have actually found a solution for the protruding gas block (like having a dedicated new lower profile design), then it would be odd why they would retain the horizontal pin at the front of the handguard, because they could simply pursue a free floated design like the one we've seen a few pages back (but which had cutouts for the adjustable gas block).

Looks like those are some Arken LPVOs, which is a US brand but are made in China, though I don't think the glass itself is Chinese.
