I'm pretty sure the QBU-191 is not a LPVO -- its smallest magnification is not 1x or even 1.2x -- I've heard that the smallest magnification is 4x actually.
Certainly, the scope itself doesn't look like a LPVO -- it doesn't have a straight tube with a small objective lens:


This is the standard LPVO form factor (compare with QBU-191's objective lens):









And the scope of the QJB-201 is not the same as the QBU-191, but rather this one that we've seen before at various displays, which looks to be the standard optic for the QJB-201.

Actually, I've also heard it was 4x lowest to 15x highest.

I’m absolutely sure that 15X is false, a former PLA said it was indeed 4X max so...

Well, did they say what the minimum magnification was? Because with the objective lens being what it is, I doubt it is 1x or 1.2x.

Also, I think the maximum magnification should definitely be above 4x -- you can see with close pictures of the magnification ring shows numbers going up to at least 7x, if not more.






.... now, the QBU-191 has been shown with a true LPVO before, that was 1x to max 4x magnification, but that is a very different scope, so I wonder if you're referring to that one:

Sry, I really can’t tell, I think you might be right on this, I have my doubts though, there were more than one fairly credible sources talking about this , and according to them , this thing (the standard one) has a fairly low magnification(4X) and is a LPVO, guess we have to wait till actual info kicking in

We can literally see the numbers of the QBU-191's magnification ring on the standard scope go up to at least 7, so I'm going to have to conclude that either the source is incorrect on this matter, or perhaps you've misinterpreted the information.

Re the QBU-191's minimum magnification, looking back in the archives, I stand corrected -- seems like the minimum magnification is 3x

Based on the location of the throw dent on the magnification ring, and looking at other pictures of the scope close up, I think the magnification range is probably 3x to 8x, or 3x to 9x....

It's possible that there may be a 2x or 10x on either side even more, but I somewhat doubt it (unless the upper magnifications go up by higher intervals)


Either way, the maximum magnification should be well above 4x, and can visually be confirmed to at least 7x
