Interesting, they are using both standard and semi-clear mags.
It certainly smaller than those found on QBZ-95 series, so my guess is that they're just simple muzzle cover.That seems likely. As a gas operated weapon a BFA would be required for training. Though there are some very small cans on the commercial market that is way to small.
Interestingly, after the tensions with India, it seems that WTC ground forces are now one of the first to get new stuff and complete full modernization-mechanization of ground forces.
