Level of attenuation is proportional to the frequency. In other words, the lower the frequency, the less attenuation there is, and the further the signal can travel.3) Since the communication system is done in an extremely low frequency, wouldn't range be a problem.
As far as I know, ELF is used for communication between the land base and the submarine only.4) Plus this system is good for communication between submarine in a wolf pack, but can it also be utilise for communication with surface crafts such as warships and land bases.
Given that satellite is not big enough to fit an ELF antenna, I would venture to guess that the submarine has to be closed to the surface.5) How can the submarine actually receive information from satellites?
