That is a very good sized airstrip. Looks like they are nowhere near finished with adding ramp space.

Interesting that they have 3 reoccurring arch shaped stud ructions running along the runway. Almost looks like air defence forts to my eye.

I can easily seem LD2000/Type 1130 CIWS and FL3000 missiles built onto the roofs of those structures to provide defences against weapons aimed at the runway and/or parked aircraft.

That there, is an unsinkable carrier.

1st, this is not a strategy page in any case...so all of this wartime PLAN strategy is OT here.

2nd, SD rules forbid establishing real world war scenarios between nations, and these posts are getting very directly into that...it's not fictional or what-if scenarios we are talking here. So those posts have both of those against the,

Let's not go into direct war time, nuclear war (which was mentioned), invasion (which was mentioned) etc. One can talk about the types of defenses that could be employed there (on the strategy page) without going into war scenarios.

Talking about the airstrip, the number of revetments, the types of aircraft, etc. are all warranted on the Strategy Page...but talking about how the US or others would defeat that and/or how China would defeat those forces is not.

Also, talking about how Vietnam responds to China is OT here. That goes into the SCS Strategy Discussion for other nations.

Again, this thread is simply for what China has built/reclaimed in the area. Clinical...no politics...no strategy. Please limit it to that.
