Wow! That's about as high level for Naval Military officers and exchanges/meetings as it gets.

US CNO and the PLAN CINC. Just wow.

And Admiral Wu got to get a good tour of the Jefferson SSN and the Carl Vinson CVN. Feasting his eyes no doubt! (Hehehe...I know I would) Seeing where he'd like to see the PLAN get to in many ways.

Hey..I like the gold buttons on their dress whites. Since PLAN is always emulating USN I don't mind if we change our run of the mill buttons to look like theirs!!

I posted these photos yesterday but they disappeared.

Re: PLAN ships visit Pearl Harbor!

I am just wondering in regarding to the difference between US navy camouflage and Chinese Navy camouflage in uniforms. Is it due to Chinese navy mainly operate relatively closer to coastal area than US navy?

USN nwu type one is colored based on the colors common on USN ships. Its not meant to be worn for concealing of the individual its to hide paint stains, grease spots and soot the Pla by contrast based its on possible landing ops. That said its far from effective, In both micro and macro pattern I could use a lot of work.

See in that first picture the replenishment tanker is trailing two line in the water to the LPD

Is that a refuelling line of some sort because it then reaching to the front of 999 and becomes a black hose or should I say is a black hose? Is this station 3 refuelling as apposed to side by side refuelling cus that's what it looks like we know they can refuel 3 vessels at a time using this tanker

I have never seen PLAN do that before

Re: PLAN ships visit Pearl Harbor!

From the early starts in the Gulf of Aden to this Pearl Harbour visit, things are moving very good and fast between USN and PLAN

Very encouraging, if you asked me last year can I see a PLAN flotilla visiting US I would think twice but now I can see Liaoning visiting the US without any hesitation

There is a clear map of progresssion here, progress is being made here right now, it won't be too long before a Chinese CVG and a USN CVG are sailing together, big payers and they should set a example for others to follow, lead by example it's called

Overall great move by US to invite PLAN it breaks the ice now PLAN can return the favour
