Google has updated the image, more facilities and piping...
I wonder what are those 2 long structures? water tanks or something else?

My guess one of them could be steam plant because I see a stack the little round hole. And you are right there are 2 water tank normally tell tale sign of steam generator because the power plant need clean water . The long building could be maintenance shed

Forget that picture. That is photoshoped with in mind.
It's been discussed before -- the picture of the "carrier land mock up" imitates the flight deck of the HMAS melbourne, which China helped scrap all those years ago.
We do not know if that picture of the Melbourne's land mock up is even real or if the picture is just a poor attempt at doctoring.
And yes, the hull of 001A also happens to have its bow narrow... but that has no relation to the Melbourne's flight deck shape.
You are looking at the deck on one hand, and the hull on the other.
The deck is of the Melbourne, and old carrier. And, the picture is very suspect as to whether such a structure was ever in place there. It is most likely a total PS>
The hull is of the new 001A carrier well below where the flight deck ultimately will be...and where the deck will be on that vessel will be a part of the ski-jump.
I suspect there are two types of catapult being installed. The one on the left is steam, the one on the right being EMALS. The earlier photo on 2015-09-06 showed four big and one small modules in the right one. The left one has four modules and one wider squared section to the top side. I guess the four big modules in the right one are energy storage modules just like US. EMALS has four of them. The left tranch is narrower because it only has the steam pipes. The structures on the leftmost side could be the steam storage and control for steam catapult.Google has updated the image, more facilities and piping...
The two tank-like things are probably fuel tanks for the power plant shared by both catapults. The Z shaped structure is the duct for steam pipe to the steam storage, and electricity cable to the EMALS.
Any thoughts?
