Definitely ready for some serious island hopping campaign there.
Can't wait for the day that someone is going to post a picture of a reinforced Chinese CBG sailing in a similar formation during a navy review.
Great photos Jeff. I meant 20 or 25 years in the future, a high res photo of a Chinese taskforce with 3 CATOBAR super carriers, 8 type 55 cruisers and two dozen new destroyers and frigates roaming the pacific.

Well, outside of hostilities being present, I would expect any peace time PLAN CSG to consist of:Great photos Jeff. 1 x Carrier
1 x Type 055 CG
1 x Type 052D DDG
2 x Type 054A FFGs
1 x Type 095 SSN
That would be six vessels. In war you may add another DDG, two more FFGs and another SSN.
But for the type of operation you descibe in peace time, I would think it would end up consisting of:
3 x Carriers
3 x Type 055 CGs
3 x Type 052D DDGs
6 x Type 054A FFGs
3 x Type 095 SSNs
That in itself would be eighteen vessels and a VERY powerful force as well as a powerful message.
