Re: PLAN overseas deployment and excercises a list

That's why I say it's a waste of time, because the RIMPAC exercise scenarios China get to take part has next to no relevance to the upcoming war.
MwRYum, you have been around here long enough to know that this is not only uncalled for...but not allowed.

This thread is about RIMPAC 2014, not about geo-political relations. Not about war with the US.

Stop interjecting such inflamatory rhetoric into a discussion about something that is a very good thing...a first time invite for the PLAN to participate in the largest Naval Exercises.

Consider this a warning.

Do not respond to this moderation.

Stay on topic and follow the rules.

Looks like they are all very squared away and eager to go to RIMPAC. I'm excited for them and also for USN the host.
Gerry you ever participated in RIMPAC?

Nope... on Hancock in '75 we were scheduled to participate. But it all got cancelled because we had to haul butt to Vietnam and Cambodia for Operations Frequent Wind and Eagle Pull.

Good way of showing the flag. PLA-N is an impressive force from the looks of their naval assets and personnel.

Yes. Very squared away.

They will make a good impression in Hawaii at RIMPAC...at Sea and during the extra curricula activities that they have their on the islands.

I'm looking forward to a BUNCH of pictures showing the PLAN exercising with the other naval forces there.

Any news on what the JMSDF is sending

Without a doubt in future much more flat tops will take part

I say RIMPAC 2016 PLAN sends a full strength carrier strike package and JMSDF sends in a Osumi, Hyuga and Izumo Class flat decks plus Aussies send a full amphibious assault unit around the LHD Canberra and India throws in another carrier strike group just for good measure now that's extra 6 flat tops in the mix wow!!!!

I am very much looking forward to the Chinese contingent in this years RIMPAC 2014 its a very good send by PLAN top of the line units are going very very good I can only say that it would be surpassed by sending a Type 071 LPD but four ships is still good

Yes, it's good to see the PLAN in RIMPAC, and it should be a great time for all.
