Click on that link. The surface on the far right is what the USN uses on all it's decks. That stuff is tough. But it provides a no-slip surface. Look at the deck on this pic below..that is a good pic of non-skid.

...I sleep better when they start working on the bridge and install antennans and so on...that would be solid proof of military purpose, but i think it's looking promising at this point...
