Very god pics of the 51Cs, but just not much detail of the Varyag, although you can see it there. But June 25 is now the most recent pics of any part of the Varyag that I have seen. Thanks again.swimmerXC said:Here's the whole set if you want to see it.
Here's a full aft shot that I had not seen yet. It looks older than the shots showing the non-skid primer, because I do not see it on there yet...althoug, it could concievably be a shot after the primer was painted over, which woul;d make it fairly new.swimmerXC said:Here's the whole set if you want to see it
Yes, that's it. I have fixed the post now and it should show up (dang fumble finger tyos!). Anyhow, I believe it is a shot before the zinc chromate primer...but it is still a good shot of the aft end of the thing, and it is relatively new.bd popeye said:Is this the pic you are talking about? If it is, I have never seen that pic. Nice job Jeff!
That looks to me to be the same basic time frame as the aft shot I posted in post number 650. I am still not sure whether these pictures are before or after the earlier pics on this thread where we saw the non-skid primer, the zinc chromate. Any ideas?supertran said:I dont know if this is a new picture, but here it is anyways. I would resize but I'm not good with resizing. Note the 051C at the upper left.
thank you Jeff, only to compare => older pic, nearly same perspective ...Jeff Head said:Here's a full aft shot that I had not seen yet. ...

Thank you...that's a good comparison and I agree. There seems to have been quite a bit of work on the deck throughout this year, including laying down the zinc Chromate non-skid surface primer and then covering it and then another new coat of paint all the way up the ski jump. I am still waiting to see that Island painted and then start seeing some instrumentation, antennae, etc. placed on the island. I believe, ultimately that is coming.Sczepan said:thank you Jeff, only to compare => older pic, nearly same perspective ...
in your pic - I think - the deck was painted also in the front, which was not happened in the pix I've seen before (see )
didn't they will make the installation of antennas etc. before painting?Jeff Head said:.... I am still waiting to see that Island painted and then start seeing some instrumentation, antennae, etc. placed on the island. I believe, ultimately that is coming.
