The only part (i.e. a small part of the whole hangar) of the hangar that tapers is where it starts to merge into the bow section.
So, if the module is really meant for a carrier (on its bow side), the rest of the hangar can still be of constant width.

The new module is actually part of hangar blocks, the empty space is one deck above the hangar, which easily deceive our eyes making us to think that it could be an extension of the hangar.

Looks like a very small model at the corner of a field. Why would anyone do that? It would serve no purpose.speculation said it's the 001A.

If you look at the large pic from #1581, it seems like there are some kind of radar or electronic equipments on the right side of the field facing that little carrier.
