True, but the word "door" always meant as an opening to a vertical wall or in this case a bulkhead for maritime lingo.Although I have heard hatch also describe any door.

What about the rest? I know of some, but not all;Just in case anyone wanted to know...Ships do not have walls and roofs/ceilings or floors.
Ships have;
ceilings/roof = overhead
floor= deck
walls= bulkhead
door= door like a door in a home
Door=..in the deck is a hatch.
On a USN CVN 'the roof' is slang for flight deck.

What about the rest? I know of some, but not all;
Bed= bunk
Foot locker= trunk
Cafeteria= mess
Johnny= head
Sailor= squid
Marines= Jar Head or Leatherneck
First Division= deck apes
DD= Tin Can
What am I missing?

I would imagine this is pretty new since they have multiple J-15s on deck painted in the production colours.

It is either a touch and go or a fly by. They will not put the hook down on a touch and go or a fly by. They do not want to catch a wire in those cases.When did PLAN planes start being able to take off without a ski jump from a carrier?
It's not a touch and go since it doesn't have it's arresting hook down either.
