I think China will have enough Aircraft carriers so that one will always remain on station in South China sea. They will likely make one of the islands in south china sea have the necessary facilities to accommodate a carrier and supporting ships.

If that is the case I don't see why we won't expect large buildings on the selected island as the carrier and it's task force will include a lot of personnel and required provision. The hospital ship can also deploy along side for as needed and in fact maybe they do have plans in the event that a carrier presence is required in south china sea for the hospital ship to be deployed along.

Guys, cut the talk about US-China War Scenarios.

Read the rules...that is not allowed.

This is not a thread about cross-strait relations between Taiwan & China or speculating about Taiwan and China conflicts that draw the US in and leads to the US sending carriers into the Straits.

BTW, such a scenario, in any real or even a potentially real conflict would never occur until the US had complete air superiority over the straits, and considering what it would take to make that a reality...the US would never so recklessly risk a carrier in such a condition. So cut the talk about it altogether.

This thread is about the PLAN carriers. Let's keep the discussion geared at that. I will leave what has been posted for now...but any more of this off topic banter will lead to all of it being deleted.

Fantastic news and to be honest I am not that surprised

As it's always more than what meets the eye with the Chinese military we get to see only what the authority's let us see and in due time they release further evidence of photos confirming a lot more

See that is actually 4 x J-15 of production units no longer prototypes

Again this could be just the beginning and they might have had even more aircraft on board we will just have to wait and see

Having said that it's great getting confirmation via a photo of the actual action on board the carrier wow!!
