i was hoping the chinese would attampt to use some form of canards or tvc to cath up with the mki. the twelve hardpoints obviuosly reflect a desire for multirole planes.

from this pic, we can deduct that either the j-11s are being built as the j-11a, they are recieving maintenance, this is ps with chinese markings, or that the chinese have finally made some j-11bs for testing

Does that cockpit/canopy look odd? It looks like something from those old kung fu movies on TV. No widescreen or pan and scan. They just suqeezed the whole picture in.

Sorry to say tphaug, but that's a PS, both the pilots got the same helmet and are the same exact texture and you can even see the blurness

If this pic is not photoshoped (if they are, the dude who added the national markings on the planes is a skilled artist), its a strong indication that China is planning to operate a carrier in the near future...I'm so confused...
