Those uniform looks like a copy of US/Western uniform. Besides the Russian style fur hat, the rest looks decidely western. It also reminds me of Singaporean's uniform. I am wondering why.. it seems they are shedding their communist style uniform for some reason unknown to us. Maybe the brass at the top are signaling a change of attitude to be westernised ?
I too would like to see a much more traditional chinese style/motif/design to be incorporated into these uniform. It just makes it more unique if they are incorporated.

except the picture above:漢軍威武!( Han's dynasty uniform ),nothing chinese traditional PLA uniform before, all are mix Russion and Western.
even Mao's cap ( not my cap ) is not chinese traditional, the cap come from some foreign countrys.
chinese people had this thinking before,they like some thing different than foreign countrys,( espeacilly Western ). but now the chinese leaders understand that China should Follows the international tidal current, include armforce uniform.

The uniform looks cool. But I dont like it. TOO WESTERN. ESPECIALLY FOR THE HAT. WHERE IS THE RED BAND FOR THE GROUND FORCE? WHERE IS THE BLACK BAND FOR THE NAVY FORCE? AND WHERE IS THE LIGHT BLUE BAND FOR THE AIR FORCE.

I gotta give it to the chinese: Their uniforms are sharp and their women beautiful. I especially like the navy uniforms (but don't expect me to trade in my USN issued Service Dress Blues for them :coffee
