Lack of trigger discipline don't mean lack of general discipline. It's as much part of being a professional solider as to know how to goose step.

No one had trigger discipline in WW2 and that don't mean the soldiers didn't have general discipline.

I want to add to this. There are plenty of videos on military training in the US, and plenty of them have shown people making some sort of mistake. I've seen people not understand the difference between north and south, yet they were supposed to be the ones leading. I've seen people clump together in explosive training. Even with all these, that does not make the US military any less dangerous.

We should not be so angered by these mistakes, IMO. There will always be mistakes; we can just watch and hope they get ironed out with time. I have faith that they can minimize this with more training.

I have immense respect for World War 2 soldiers, but they were mostly conscripts. Their discipline was primarily about being obedient, and it is nothing compared to that of the modern day professional soldier. The Russo-Ukraimian conflict demonstrates this contrast well.

I used to think these are staged publicity photos and therefore not reflective of actual practices, but now I have come around to the idea that this isn't so cut and dry. The body of evidence is simply too large to be dismissed. For example, I wonder who in the PAP leadership okayed the hot idea of gripping the fore-end by the barrel and gas block?

@QIUSIYU, why do so many PAP soldiers grip their rifles by the barrel and gas block? You're a retired PAP soldier, so you're best positioned to explain this grip technique to us. What do you have to say about this?

Holy crap what are these morons doing??? I feel like these people haven't had the chance to fire a live weapon up to this point in their lives otherwise they wouldn't be holding their rifles like that. Even my rifles with big bull barrels starting heating up after the first few rounds. FFS

Another upper aftermarket mod I don't recall seeing.

Unrelated, but I like the 特警 uniforms much better than the 武警 ones. Not very many pictures of the former around here though, so I appreciate this one.
