This is the logo of the well-known NORINCO(北方工业), which is a sales company. It is jointly controlled by two major military industry groups in a 1:1 ratio.

1. China North Industries Group Corporation
Official Chinese name is 中国兵器工业集团公司(China Weaponry Industries Group Corporation)
In China people sometimes call it "北方工业"(North Industry), same as NORINCO's official Chinese name

2. China South Industries Group Corporation
Official Chinese name is 中国兵器装备集团公司(China Weaponry Equipments Group Corporation)
In China people sometimes call it "南方工业"(South Industry)

The products of the two major groups are basically sold by NORINCO, so Chinese firearms have the NORINCO logo.

Silly photo. Completely cringy. Not even North Korea or Islamic State could be this tasteless. I wonder why China insists on such embarrassing aesthetics. Why, in the 21st century, do they still insist on applying the infantile aesthetics of early Soviet propaganda posters to live photography?

Do you have an answer for this?
Yes it is a silly photo. But aesthetics is subjective. We do not need to generalize about an individual's personal taste. The photographer has the freedom to express himself in the format he likes. Maybe he was just trying something new to him. People are allowed to try new things and to make mistakes even in China.

Chinese military photographers love this style because they have heavy reporting tasks every day, so they often do not consider how to make the photos look better, but rather complete the task

It doesn't look bad at all. However they could honestly take less effort and just photograph the daily training of PLA soldiers as it is, and that would seem better.

People here usually disagree with this but I am set with my opinion that the Chinese media is a lot behind the times. It is apparently run by old state bureaucrats almost directly. Just read from people who worked in CGTN etc... For every controversial topic they have pre-determined allowed words.
When you look at Chinese media you are looking at content determined by whose idea of propaganda is from the 1950s.

Why would anyone disagree with that? Their photography, music selection, and style is atrocious. <<军武零距离>> (copying this title into YouTube should show up the entire series) that is primarily hosted by Wu Jie is, in my opinion, their best one, but you can literally tell which part of their video was added in by higher-ups. It’s as if they don’t understand the concept of show-not-tell.
