Not really. I mean MPs, civil pacification maybe but like the SMG it’s a weapon where it’s mission has subsided by the advancement of modern warfare. Outside of CQB and building cleaning they are more in the way.

Aside from the extra rail, they literally look exactly alike. According to this site who sells it:
those coil accelerators are assembled and tested in Illinois, USA.
In addition, in their FAQ, they claim to have developers of this gun in the US, China, and Taiwan. Is this another Holosun like situation or what?
5.8mm hollow point demonstrated starting @0:55. Somehow there are also "green tips" for the 5.8mm, but not sure if they are ordinary steel core ammo or specialized ones.
5.8mm普通弹 (5.8mm FMJ, likely the DBP-191/10, PLA infantry's standard issue)
5.8mm曳光弹 (5.8mm tracers, the Chinese 'green tip', not to be confused with NATO's SS109 'green tip' FMJ)
