If this was a flashlight body then that probably would work but this seems a box body.

I don't think this guy knows what ASMR is.
I was just mostly suprised that he somehow managed to get his hands on a longbow rail in canada.
Lasers can have multiple functions:
1. In CQC, they can assist in point shooting, which is, rudimentarily speaking, pointing your gun at a target via the barrel and faster than sight shooting. Lasers can help the user acquire their targets rapidly and accurately.
2. They, particularly IR lasers, can be used to designate targets for other friendly forces to see.

3) if the soldier is using a night vision device on his helmet he may not be able to use the optical sight due to the obstruction. An IR laser sight will allow him to still aim. This however has the trade off that if the opposition has Night vision they too will see his laser.
off topic but I remember this is part of the reason that having scopes mounted relatively high so one can aim with that thru nvg (and not having to use IR lasers) has become more of a thing in recent years? I may very well be wrong so plz correct me if this is not the case
