Guys, is this PLA unit? I'm in China and in a military district but the soldiers are all wearing digital camo even down to their canvas shoes. Nothing like this video and mustaches are a no-no in Chinese military from what I've seen.

No. They are not. And frankly speaking, how do the poster know the weapons are from China? And he obviously cannot differentiate a mortar round to a missile, so much for credibility. And looking at those sour crap who commended in the post... <keep thinking that way guys... as long as it makes them happy...>

in any event looking at the freeze frame of the video I am thinking the army of Wu.

LOL, I refuse to join Facebook as it is a corporation-serving conspiracy to addict us to the corporation-serving media and slowly learn our thoughts and emotions for mind control... *puts on tin foil hat*

I joined Facebook only to keep in touch with family and friends, other than that...nothing else. Nowadays it has WAAAY...too many advertisements and online games that takes up too many of your computers memory and ram, therefore slows down everything (computer and internet).

memo to norinco this is what the QBZ rifle post 2014 should look like. Find this guy hire this guy. Give him a company jet!

the rail is low enough so that most optics will easily cheek weld well still being high enough to offer a good option for building in irons. The charging handle is easy to get at and looks out of the way enough to allow uninterrupted operation. Plus you could optionally see side mounting options. Its really good and way beyond the stupid carry Handel that frankly no one ever uses.

For China to make stuff like that, it won't be up to NORICO but those boneheads in the PLA command structure.

Actually, even the West on their own come up with a few "modernised/futurist" version of the QBZ-95 series rifles, such as those seen in "Call of Duty: Black Ops II".

It's as much as mindsets and production capabilities that hampers the Chinese in taking such a step. For the mindset part, the PLA still yet to grasp the benefit of MIL-STD-1913 system, and the concerns for most of the PLA outfits in shooting isn't operational but to meet scoring requirements in shooting ranges (partly that's what got the PLA team pwned so badly in their first venture into the international competition arena); then there's optics, China doesn't possess the capability to make ACOG or EOTech sights in the same quailty and innovation degrees.

not for the standard issue true but the exports is another story.

the fictional QBZ25 sure and of you play the game it actually comes pretty close to this modification.

Mickey mouse rules. The I don't care if it works so long as it looks good. But I beg to differ on two points.
one) in displays, on Hong Kong garrison open house QBZ95 rifles have been shown with a magnified optical gun sight. We have seen the same magified optic on CQ 311 type A carbines and on type 88 DMR we have seen variable power scopes.
in addition the Chinese digital soldier display seen at arms shows also have eotech sights, I happen to know that there are Chinese companies building not just knock off red dots but a number of real units. So I think its not so much a issue of availability. It think its money. The PLA is just not interested in spending the cash on the infantry.

Those low-power scope used by QBZ95 (haven't seen the new ones for QBZ95-1) are longer than those ACOG sights, for comparison, that do the same job; not using tritium lighting or other non-battery powered reticle illumination; reticle design is too complicated for a simple soldier-use sight, and no tool-less adjustment for zeroing.

Those use on QBU88 doesn't fare much better, if you need to adjust for wind you need to unscrew the cap first then use a tool to turn it, not a knob like those so commonly found these days.

They just have way too much to learn.

Well not always on the type 88 dmr before the olympics they pulled a ringer. A group of type 88s were seen wearing Kaless scopes.
