That might help you to find specific gear you need. Only go to the packs that were carried by the green 'chutes rather than having to investigate them all.

Surely its not that hard to design an optic scope with a more compact based so the scope doesn't sit so unnecessarily high on the Type 95s. The current set up exposes the shooter more to return fire, and just looks uncomfortable.

They should have removable rail & front sight when fitting telescopic sight.
I don't know why the sight is designed so high in the first place, seems higher than any other bullpup designs.

Detachable carrying handle will be hard to implement without a major re-design to move the charging handle from the center to the side.

But the main reason they are using those unwieldy scopes is more because they are being cheap instead of a lack of a suitable scope.

Those scopes stands used in that exercise are the same of the ones used on the Type 88 sniper rifle, just with a cheaper scope attached.

The scope displaced with the modified Type 95, which I just called the Type 95b for simplicity is a far superior solution, and barely requires the head to move up at all.

Here is a comparison shot between the Type 95 and Type 95B

Hopefully once they have done enough to these exercises, and the usefulness of scopes has been proven and the troops complain enough about the current jerry-rigged solution, the PLA will start issuing the new scopes.

Based on the number of Police vehicles visible in the background of these pics I say PAP (Although they could have been called out because of reports of a walking swamp creature with a gun roaming the streets. )

although It's possible for it too also be in PLA hands too.

PAP based on the police in the background as well as where they are being photographed (all urban areas, PLA train in the countryside or in dedicated ranges).

Why the PAP needs Ghillie suits is a completely different question.

In most of those pictures, the Ghillie suits made the snipers stand out more, not less.

The people in the PAP procurement department really should stop playing Call of Duty games. :p

Many PAP units are in charge of border patrol. So it makes sense for them to use the suit. However, having soldiers wearing Ghillie suits while on pavement and city streets is kind of weird. It stands out like a sore thumb. It could be some kind of PR mission since some photos have kids in the background. They may be showing off their gear to civilians.
