No matter how comfy it is inside with A/C and leather seats, etc. it's still very crowded and limited in space. Have you tried to jam 5 people in a sedan? It feels awful even if you have a BMW. It would be much better outside, where you can stretch and get comfy.

Yeah but after the rest of your crew decides to rest outside you can then sneak in quietly and have it to yourself.
You can also have all the heat and discomfort to yourself.

It bags the question how *realistic* one need to achieve full spectrum dominance to let its troops to have some decent down time in war zone, if one ever have the luxury for some "down time".
I wouldn't blame the Stryker or any other IFVs (like here the PLA's) for not having AC. They just been realistic for the war.
