Well at least more digits means that PLA won't end up with M1 everything from a shovel to a tank

I always wonder how these fancy all arround camera works when covered with dirt and mud or after being pelleted by frag. These types of optical systems becoming dirt cheap to buy look to become tricky and cost a heavy bill to maintain in the combat zone.
Perhaps some members of a certain armed force have troubles with numbers larger than 10. At the same time, PLA has got CJ-1000.
I would actually request proof that of the numbering system and naming. The parade yesterday, the announcers did not call out the vehicle nomenclature, and I would rather see the name in the Chinese press. In my research on the GSL135 (or GSL133) I have found that int he Chinese press name the Engineer vehicle GSL135, while the US Army named it the GSL133 with no explanation. Then I saw that Steven Foss published an article where it was mentioned as the GSL135E. I am saying this as we can conjecture, but until there is a Chinese source that is published, I for one am going to hold off on the name. You can call it what you will, I am going to exercise a bit of tactical patience and see if the Chinese publish anything. Since the parade was showing the new capabilities to the domestic audience and two visitors....
From US and German use, the rear cameras systems on the MBTs get covered in dust, but that depends on the road/trail conditions. Training areas are notorious for very dusty tank trails. However the cameras on the M1150 (probably due to their elevated placement) do not suffer so much from dust obscuration.
