Can a tail-less triple engined aircraft increase its yaw rates by varyng the powers of left and right engines?

Wouldn't that still depend on the aerodynamic configuration of the aircraft. Potentially doable but that varied thrust would have to rotate the aircraft along its longitudinal axis by having the extra thrust push eccentrically either its centre of gravity or aerodynamic surfaces.

Having a third engine makes little sense for a fighter. Probably to throw intelligence gathering efforts off. Why increase the aircraft's weight by so much while removing space for internal bays. It doesn't need more speed or be able to pull more Gs than two engines can already offer. Two engines put pilots at the absolute physical limit and that's with digital restrictions to prevent pilots from overstraining. If your fighter is 50% larger, it will struggle to dogfight, probably be more easily detected, and come at quite the time and resource penalty when it comes to manufacturing and maintenance.

Triple engine would put it in tactical bomber territory... Maybe the H20 and the 6th gen are essentially the same plane?
I guess no, I remember that Cute Orca or somebody else implied that WS-10 would support 3 different generations fighter...which means the 6th gen may would do her maiden flight with WS-10, as WS-15 si still under test, and Chinese had a bad experience during the development of J-8III( J-8III did the maiden flight with the new engine WP-14, which caused great trouble).
Triple WS-10 for a long-range bomber are a little weak(3 * 80 = 240kn), and double D-30/WS-18 would be better for this thrust level. But for a 6th gen fighter with MTOW of 40-50 tons, Triple WS-10 do make sense, and it would be easy to transfer to triple WS-15,so that you can get a powerful 40-to-50-tons-level fighter with 360KN millitary thrust or 480 KN afterburner, which may have combat radius more than 1000 NM(like F/A-XX of US NAVY)

are quoting the post with above drawing without explicitly saying anything. They may be implying the 6th gen is using this triple engine design.

That guy has made art for a long time, he's really an old timer.

I wouldn't say quoting it means anything other than "look at this". Certainly the idea of a three engine aircraft for a fighter is so odd (no pun intended) that one would need a rather high threshold to even entertain the idea.

Let's not verbalize certain possibilities if they don't deserve to be verbalized.

Isn‘t this CAD-guy not just a fan-boy who‘s made already often such „concerts“ and what-if drawings along real ones?

Yes, but this time Cute Orca and Shenhua both reposted this and commented with “close enough” etc.

i also believe that now makes Yankee, Orca, Otter and Shenhua as all agreeing that first flight at CAC is imminent.

It's already been known to us that the aircraft will emerge soon, the issue isn't that but rather that people are viewing the image and seriously entertaining the idea of J-XD being three engined.

Now, while I personally won't rule it out as impossible, I do think you'd need a high level of a confident statement for us to entertain it.
Like, if Yankee straight up says "the next gen fighter will have three engines" then sure.
But what I'm seeing so far is just circumstantial reposting which could mean anything.

I actually trust Shenhua more than Yankee.

If shenhua says that this 3 engined depiction is close enough, the thats good enough for me.

YMMV of course.
