PLA next/6th generation fighter thread

We don't even know if it's a competition or two parallel developments.

SAC one emerged right out of blue.
CAIG’s alleged design very much =/= SAC’s alleged design. They seem to have very different requirements.

Maybe, just maybe, what we are actually looking at is:

1. J-XD(H) from SAC - a 6th gen two engined fighter with some A2G capability, in CATOBAR and CTOL variants.

2. JH-XX from CAIG - a 6th gen three engined fighter bomber, this is what has become of the JH-XX program we’ve all heard so much about (and that the Pentagon repeatedly says is still a thing). As we’ve always discussed with JH-XX, A2A (in addition to A2G) capability is expected.

and to cap it all off…

3. H-20 from XAC - a 6th gen VLO strategic bomber (if NG get to classify the Raider as “6th gen”, then same goes for “heavy water”), which the Pentagon, PLAAF and AVIC all say is in development.

If I were an exec from LM, NG and (maybe) Boeing, I’d try to accidentally drop a USB with 100K bitcoin and all R&D from the last 35 years in front of AVIC’s offices. If the PLA manage to develop and procure all 3, then the US defence budget is going straight to 2 trillion! :p

Just a maybe stupid question, but are the next days - aka 24th to 27th December - regular working days or is there something like holidays?

From my understanding, the next true holidays are New Year's Day on 1st January and then Chinese New Year from Jan. 28 - Feb. 4 ...

They don’t celebrate Christmas in Mainland China. They do celebrate New Year’s Day but I don’t think they take the day off.
