More seriously though, what ship would this possibly be used on? A new large destroyer/cruiser?

Technically speaking, warships that are at least proper frigate-sized can be armed with such 155mm calibre naval gun (i.e. at least 5000+ tons), as the Germans had tested with their MONARC gun system on a Sachsen FFG back in the 2000s.

The main concern lies with the greater amount of force acting on the ship structure resulted from the recoil of the 155mm gun, compared to the 127mm and 130mm guns. Hence, the ship's structure around the gun must be reinforced to handle the recoil.
