Can anyone identify this place? It doesn't look like an RCS facility, more like a park. I'm curious because there is what appears to be a ship superstructure placed there.

huge embarrassment for the PLAN, as their submarine was detected. the only silver lining was an argument made that it was moving westward so the eastward movement might have been undetected.
I believe they do it on purpose as a warning to Japan.
Seems like it is too obvious they are deliberately trying to send a message.
As these submarines, not just 093s, but Kilos and Yuans, are capable for firing Klubs and YJ-18s, they can do so a very good distance away from their targets and have little need to do torpedo runs on the target.
