The opening ceremony of the Sino-Thai "Assault-2023" joint training exercise was held in Thailand. More than 200 officers and soldiers will be participating.

It's weird why the PLA would send a random conventional brigade under the 74th group army to train with elite RTASWC (Thai SOF) units, the two are clearly not on par in terms of equipment, training, and mission demands. This is both slightly embarrassing and disrespectful to the Thai side (training with a bunch of regular PLA infantrymen with very little anti-terrorism / special warfare experience)

The RTASWC are not familiar with Chinese firearms that's why it's called a weapon familiarization joint
