13 combined corps , 76 brigades , about 7 battalion each ,let say 10 company per battalion on average.
A company has 6 officers , that comes out 420 officers per brigades , that without the staff positions at brigade in reality, so lets say 500 for simplicity.
So for the ground forces alone , for field formations alone I would expect 6500 officers , not all of them are infantry , and not all of them is been replaced each year.
A reasonable assumption would be half of the officers come from infantry schools , and 30% of them discharge each year , so 1100 if quite reasonable.
Honestly the math I did here is on the low end , it wouldn't surprise me that there would be 2 times as much officer positions
That's way off. 4 maneuver btns in each CAB, the rest are artillery, air defence, engineers, etc. In respect of the maneuver btns, these have 4 direct fire coys + support coy. In a heavy CABtn only 2 coys are infantry, 3 in a medium CAbtn and 4 in a lights CAbtn.

There're also Recce Btn and Logistic Btn.
These two Btns are critical for a CABde initiating and sustaining any attack maneuvers without the heavy help from the GA.
9 Btns in each CABde, 6-7 Companies in each Btn.
1-4 CABtn
5 Recce
6 Artillery
7 Air defence
8 Combat support
9 Logistic

At the end of May, there was a rumor saying that one of the PLAGF CABs had been transfered to another branch of service. If this is true, the total number of PLAGF CABs would return to 81. The number had been 82 since 2020.
The rumor stated that it was one of the CABs affiliated to the 76th GA, specifically 12th HCAB/LX11. Its whereabouts now, the purpose of its transfer, and when exactly did the transfer happen, remains unknown. No official news has confirmed this transfer yet.

Any chance LJ66=LX11?

Very likely, according to a non-official source.

I thought that they might be either:
- raising a new PLARF missile unit out of the HCAB in terms of manpower... but that would be odd to choose a HCAB for that purpose if they only wanted manpower, or...
- converting the HCAB to augment/bolster PLARF base and TEL defensive units... but that would also be odd to require a whole HCAB for it... but you'd think a high mobility CAB would be more suitable, and you probably wouldn't concentrate the entire CAB in one place either but rather disperse them as individual battalions...

Either way it's somewhat odd.

I don't get it either, but it's hinted by the only clue I've found other than the original rumor.
The rumor itself is beyond the limit of OSINT; the clue isn't, but the message is conveyed is such a vague way that explaining it in English would require literally a short essay.
