My video on the overview of PLA SAMs, mostly focuses on Cold War era ones.

Let me know your comments and feedbacks.
5 cents: some intro into orbat/command structure and affiliation (PLAGF, PLAAF) would be quite useful.

Same comment - on organization of firing units themselves; SAMs are distributed systems, without such picture people will have to already know what you're explaining.

And I doubt too many people are indeed prepared for that.

Thank you. Will incorporate such information in Part 2.

Wow, an Air Force lieutenant colonel introduced the HQ-9B, claiming that the range is 400km and the price is more than 5 million RMB. He also introduced the hq-9b with a smaller bullet diameter, claiming that it has a shorter range and a lower price than the HQ-9B. Unfortunately, it may be confidential, so he did not specify the specific range and price of the smaller hq-9b

Does anyone remember FD-2000 officially being renamed and presented for export as HQ-9E or HQ-9AE? And if so, do you remember any different range stats (or other stats) being mentioned for it? I sort of have in my memory that something like that had happened at one point, but now that I try to google it, I can't find any promotional materials about it, anything that'd prove it.

As far as I remember, a missile called the FD-2000A was displayed just at 2024 Zhuhai. You can probably find pictures in the corresponding thread or in this one if my memory is correct.

Is PLA working on a modular anti-FPV drone system that can defend armor? Like an hard-kill measure you can attach to armored vehicles to defend against drones.

This system can be extended to troops; like an anti-fpv modular bag pack for troops to carry on their bag that will defend them against drones.

I haven't seen any other country working on a system to defend armor/hvt from drones.

The HQ-17AE SAM system is the only dedicated system I've seen.

Lot of lessons need to be taken from the Ukraine-Russia War and anti drones is the main one.

EDIT: Never mind, I found my answer in the Type-99 Tank thread.
